Fragile Resistance

Artistic view of silent reflection on yet persistent ways of nature that resist society’s control.

















Description :Inspired by observing the ground-tile systems in the city of Eindhoven, the work explores how small, invasive, unknown plants grow freely in the narrow gaps between bricks, unplanned yet profoundly alive. These small growths act as a reminder that nature continues to reclaim space even within rigid infrastructures. Rather than designing a vase that contains and organises plants, the work takes inspiration from this outdoor behaviour and creates a form that captures the moment of growth on its own terms. 

By copying this overlooked natural behaviour, Fragile Resistance celebrates the beauty of what grows without any rules and challenges our desire to control our surroundings to make them perfect. It invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between human systems and natural life, encouraging a slower, more attentive coexistence where irregularity and unpredictability are embraced as part of what makes nature truly beautiful.







Material :

Plaster Bandage is used for making the exterior to give the sense of bricks. Beads and Wire are used in the making of the mimicking plants.
