A system of a zero-waste cycle to produce cooking utensils using vegetable gelatin material by duplicating the texture of expired vegetables from the market.
Description :The work discusses the environmental impact of plastic and aims to create a zero-waste green cycle in the production of products. The work focuses on finding alternatives to plastic for making bowls and plates, experimenting with various materials like corn starch, vegetable gelatin, sugar powder, and candle wax. Throughout the material experiments, vegetable gelatin was ideal for bowl-making, and the candle wax effectively replicates the texture of vegetables. The process allows candle wax to be reused many times to make the mould, which contributes to a sustainable cycle in production. Moreover, the work envisions a circular economy, especially in the market, turning discarded vegetables after their expiration dates into a baseline to create unique, sustainable cooking
utensils.
Material :
Candle Wax for making the mould and Vegetable Gelatin(Liquidfy) are used for making the bowl.
